Chefzi app
Updated 20 October 2026
Receive orders in real time on your phone or tablet
In short: Receive orders in real time in the Chefzi app. It works on your phone or tablet. There is no expensive equipment to buy and no separate order-taking POS. Customers order on your website.
If you're looking for a restaurant EPOS app to take orders, this is the app the ticket arrives in. It works on your phone or tablet. Chefzi has no till, and this is not a full EPOS.
Early Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deal: new sign-ups get 3 months free, with no setup fee. The deal ends at 23:59 on 1 December 2026.
What arrives, and where
A customer places an order on your website. The ticket shows in the Chefzi app as it is placed. It is Chefzi’s own order-taking app, for the restaurant, not an app the diner has to install. You can use the phone in the kitchen or a tablet you already own. You do not buy a till, a kitchen display system, or a dedicated order-taking POS to make this work.
How a ticket is handled
The app rings until someone answers. Accepting sets a prep time, which is the time the customer sees. Rejecting asks for a reason, such as sold out, too busy or closed, and the customer is told. The order stays on screen until the kitchen answers, so a busy pass does not depend on one polite buzz.
If the phone or tablet drops offline, Chefzi sends an SMS and then a phone call. Ordering on the website stays as you left it until you pause it. A quiet device is not the same as a closed shop.
What you do not need
- No store badge, and no download button on this page. We set the app up with you on a call.
- No launch date to wait for. The app is how orders reach you now. A wider note on how orders reach the kitchen covers phone orders, QR codes, kiosks and AI answering.
- No extra hardware bundle. The phone or tablet you already have is the device.
- No customer app for diners. They order in the browser, on your site.
How it sits with the rest of the page
Collection, delivery and pre-orders use the same menu. QR table ordering sends a seated guest’s order to the same app, tagged with the table. Table reservations are a separate job: a table booked before the guest arrives, not a ticket for the pass.
Cash on delivery and cash on collection are on the £19 plan. Online card payments are on the £29 plan, through Stripe, and the card fee stays with Stripe. Chefzi does not take a percentage of the order. See Chefzi pricing.
A device that can be heard
The app can run on a phone. During a Friday service, a phone in a pocket often leaves the room. Many kitchens leave a tablet on charge where the pass can hear it. That is a placement choice, not a piece of equipment you have to buy from us. We do not sell a tablet and we do not mark one up. If you want a longer note on volume and where to put a tablet, read the kitchen tablet guide. If the device is still the GloriaFood app, the handover is in replacing the GloriaFood order-taking app. You do not need an EPOS system for this app. Touch2Success is the page for shops that already rent that hardware.
Pricing
The Chefzi app is part of the ordering plan: £19 a month for cash or no-card payments, or £29 a month with online card payments, per location, excluding VAT. There is no setup fee and 0% commission. Book a call and we will show an order arriving on the phone or tablet you already have.
