What Chefzi is
Chefzi is online ordering for restaurants, cafés and takeaways in the United Kingdom. A customer orders on a website. The restaurant receives the order in the Chefzi app on a phone or tablet it already has. Chefzi is for food businesses only. It is not for pubs, bars or casinos, and it is not sold outside the UK.

What Chefzi does
- Modifiers can be required, and a group can set a minimum and a maximum.
- Collection hours and delivery hours are separate.
- A holiday closure is one special-day window that covers both collection and delivery.
- Pre-order lead time is set for the location, not for one dish.
- An item can be marked out of stock.
- Receive orders in the Chefzi app on the restaurant’s phone or tablet. It is Chefzi’s own order-taking app. There is no expensive equipment to buy and no separate order-taking POS. The app rings until someone accepts or rejects. If the device drops offline, Chefzi sends an SMS and then a phone call.
- Table reservations. A guest requests a table and the restaurant confirms it. A new booking arrives in the same Chefzi order-taking app used for orders. There is no card deposit on the booking.
- Delivery zones, each with its own fee, minimum and time.
- Promo codes.
- Email campaigns, including automated offer emails, plus SMS and branded SMS campaigns that the restaurant sends itself, for repeat orders, offers and win-backs. The restaurant needs the customer’s permission.
- Flyer marketing: a flyer or QR code that points people at the restaurant’s own ordering page.
- Help moving Just Eat and Uber Eats customers onto the restaurant’s own site. Orders placed on those apps still pay those apps’ commission.
- A restaurant website, and an embed for a site you already have. The site is mobile-fast, with the menu as text.
- Your own domain name for the ordering site, such as yourrestaurant.co.uk. Custom domain connection is live in the portal.
- QR table ordering. A guest scans a code at the table and the order reaches the kitchen app.
- Done-for-you Google Business Profile work, built to help the restaurant rank higher on Google against nearby competitors. No map position is guaranteed.
- Done-for-you social post design and management, and paid ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google. No return is promised. The fee is on request.
- Ordering can be paused.
- Cash on delivery and cash on collection. Restaurants on the £19 plan take cash orders.
What Chefzi does not do
- A dedicated half-and-half pizza builder.
- A separate dish-number field. A number appears only when it is written into the dish name.
- A switch to turn one delivery zone off. Remove the zone, or turn delivery off.
- A way to hide a category while keeping its dishes. Deleting a category removes those dishes.
- Sold out on a single modifier.
- A refund when staff reject an order by hand. An automatic rejection can refund the payment. A manual rejection keeps a refund record and does not send it.
- Loyalty or a CRM.
- A customer app for diners to install.
- A kiosk.
- Courier integrations.
- A POS or till.
- A lead time on one item.
- A cap on how many orders can be placed in one time slot.
